Finding Jobs with Punt Labora: How the Valencia Employment Service Works

Punt Labora currently lists more than 2,700 job openings. Anyone registered with the Valencia Employment and Training Service can apply for these positions and filter opportunities that align with their professional profile.

Access to these offers requires registration with Labora. Both unemployed and employed individuals can apply for any position that is posted.

After signing up, to access Punt Labora offers, users simply identify themselves with a DNI/NIE and a PIN. The system then enables the appropriate people to search using keywords tied to the workplace or to pick a province if the job is not clearly defined.

In the works, citizens find information such as job duties, requirements, and working conditions. Each proposal includes a reference code that allows candidates to contact Espai Lab if there are questions. If relevant, the applicant can indicate interest and begin the application process.

It should be noted that Labora’s member companies are individual organizations posting roles on the PuntLabora portal, inviting applications, and selecting applicants who meet their stated criteria.

It is important that job applications remain current and that all education and work experience details are up-to-date. This is managed in Labora through a self-interview feature.

Every time a candidate wants to apply for a position, they will not need to re-enter personal data. Educational background, employment history, available hours, computer skills, a driver’s license, and other credentials are stored in the system for faster applications.

These are the most sought-after digital roles in the Valencian Community

The system also allows applicants to attach a resume in PDF format to each enrollment, enabling them to include additional information not covered in a personal interview, such as informal training and volunteering.

It should be noted that if a candidate fails to meet the basic requirements or if there is already a high volume of applicants, they may not advance in the process, though the option to send a CV remains.

More than 18,000 job offers have already been processed by August, and the portal is accessible at the Valencia Community level.

Working in Europe

Labora also offers job opportunities at the European level. The EURES network functions as a service that has proven especially useful.

This European cooperation portal for employment services is designed to facilitate the free movement of workers. It allows users to explore and filter by the European Union member country, sector, or profession.

If tutorials have been followed but questions remain, applicants can contact the nearest Espai Labora. It is important to keep all PuntLabora self-interview data up-to-date, including phone, email, degrees, courses, and, above all, current occupations.
