In a conference this Saturday, the PSPV communicated an intent to pursue the announced agreement reached yesterday between employers and unions. The proposed salary increases, set to apply from this year through 2025, are framed as a fair and essential step to distribute the wealth generated within the country. The Socialist bloc also argues that the deal would bring greater stability in the near term. This stance comes as Yaissel Sánchez, a prominent member of the PSPV slate for the regional elections in Alicante, positions herself at the number three spot on the list for Alicante, reinforcing the party’s regional strategy and messaging.

The candidate views the deal as a turning point. It is cited as a mechanism to help workers cope with the pressures of a rising cost of living, which has fed into global inflation that many households are currently facing. There is an emphasis on implementing the planned measures to ensure that wage growth aligns with economic realities. The proposal envisions a cumulative salary increase of 10 percent over the next three years, distributed as 3 percent this year, followed by 4 percent in 2024 and 2025. The document also contemplates an additional 1 percent uplift tied to the evolution of the consumer price index, underscoring a flexible approach to wage adjustment in response to inflation trends.

Yaissel Sánchez, speaking on behalf of the Valencian Community, highlighted the role of sustained social dialogue since President Ximo Puig assumed office. She noted that dialogue with economic and social actors has yielded policies that are neighborly in impact, addressing both employment and welfare concerns. In her view, these measures reflect a citizen-centered economic policy that aims to protect workers, support businesses, and maintain social cohesion. According to the candidate, recent agreements include efforts to safeguard employment, assist families, and bolster enterprises against the disruptions caused by the epidemic, demonstrating a commitment to practical, on-the-ground results rather than abstract promises.
