In St. Petersburg, authorities selected a preventive measure for a man accused of soliciting explicit material from underage boys and requesting private videos. The information was released by the joint press service of the city courts.
The defendant had frequent contact with youths under sixteen. Last autumn, after confirming the minor’s exact age, he initiated written correspondence and then demanded that the victim record a pornographic video and transmit it to him. When the suspect remained in a location where he was already known to the boy, he allegedly resumed criminal activity. Investigators indicate that three related cases are under review.
Today, a resident of St. Petersburg was charged with indecent acts of a non-violent nature, coercing someone to perform sexual acts, invading privacy, using a minor to produce pornographic material, and distributing the same. The accused admitted to the alleged offenses but requested restrictions on certain actions as a preventive measure. Nevertheless, the court ordered continued detention, with the period of detention extending through the end of April.
Earlier reports referenced formal courses in Russia related to sexual content that targeted young girls, highlighting ongoing concerns about safeguarding minors from exploitation and abuse.
