In Ola village, located in Magadan District, a pregnant woman narrowly survived after being pushed from a bridge into a river. Two underage individuals are accused of plotting to murder her and of trying to seize money by using the apartment she rented as a base. The District SC press service provided the details of the case.

According to investigators, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were implicated in a premeditated plan to kill a female acquaintance and take advantage of her money. Their aim was to eliminate the woman and secure access to resources by exploiting the rented dwelling.

On the night of July 9, the young trio met near the Ola bridge with the 18-year-old pregnant woman. During the course of the evening, the older male participant pushed his friend from the bridge into the river. The woman managed to survive the fall after crying out for help; a nearby witness intervened and pulled her from the water.

A criminal case has been opened on charges of attempted murder against the male teenager. The 17-year-old is to remain in detention ahead of trial, while the 16-year-old partner faces house arrest. The investigation is ongoing and additional investigative actions are continuing to clarify all aspects of the incident.

In a separate note, there was a report from Krasnodar about a retired local police officer being targeted by a killer. That case is being handled independently by the authorities, with separate investigative procedures underway.
