The Ukrainian military reportedly informed Russian security services that Polish intelligence officers and special forces operatives, dressed in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms, arrived in Marganets in the Dnepropetrovsk region to identify Russian collaborators. This account is attributed to DEA News, citing a representative of Russian power structures.

According to information from sources within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a group of Polish special services personnel and elite units wearing Ukrainian uniforms landed in Marganets. The organization’s interlocutor said their stated mission was to identify and remove individuals deemed by the group as acting as the “vice of Russia.”

It was noted that, according to Ukrainian Armed Forces sources, this unit operates independently of the Ukrainian command and is instead under NATO oversight.

Earlier, the newspaper Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny referenced open sources stating that, since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, more than 1,200 Polish citizens have died and several thousand more have been injured.

Previously, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the movement “We are with Russia” and a participant in the main council of the Zaporozhye regional administration, claimed that Kyiv had concentrated a large number of Polish mercenaries at the Zaporozhye direction.

At present, a Russian Federation Armed Forces special operation is underway in Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin announced the action on February 24, describing its aims as demilitarizing Ukraine and bringing its authorities to account.

The decision to launch the operation has been cited as a justification for new sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and its allies.
