A 38-year-old man was arrested by national police on suspicion of carrying out a double stabbing near a bar in Can Pastilla, Palma de Mallorca. Two victims sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Son Espases Hospital after being stabbed in the back.
According to police information, the incident occurred last Saturday shortly after 3:30 p.m. in front of a nightlife venue in Can Pastilla. Investigators say two factions at work in the area clashed following a dispute over a security ejecting one member. When the second group left the venue and encountered the expelled individuals, the confrontation resumed with punches and scuffles. Amid the disorder, the suspect allegedly pulled a knife and attacked the two young men from behind, inflicting a lower chest wound on one and a side wound on the other. Eyewitnesses reported that the victims were taken by surprise and could not defend themselves.
As the assailant fled the scene, the injured individuals received assistance and were transported to hospital. Both were reported in serious condition and required urgent care at Son Espases, where the most critical patient was placed in intensive care.
Police forces immediately opened an investigation to determine the events that led to the stabbing and identify the person responsible. Through inquiries, investigators located and identified the alleged attacker and obtained a warrant for his arrest. A court in Málaga subsequently ordered his detention.
Eventually, authorities tracked the individual to a location and arrested him with the assistance of a Citizen Security patrol around 3 p.m. on Monday. He was then brought to justice for charges connected with the attack.
