This national police force dismantled a drug operation in Zamora linked to the sale of narcotics and cocaine at home when requested by customers. A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of crimes against public health. He had no prior record of drug trafficking.

The events unfolded on Thursday, October 6. The location reserved for drug sales was searched in the morning, and items connected to the sale and distribution of substances were seized. Police also seized dosing equipment, drugs, and cash. Investigations into the operation began in April of the previous year after authorities obtained information about a residence where narcotic substances were sold.

“Coca” in place and at home

From there, agents from the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade’s UDYCO unit launched a formal inquiry during which they identified the owner of the premises. The investigation revealed that cocaine was regularly provided inside the home, where buyers would stay for short periods. But the suspect did not limit sales to the residence; he reportedly moved to various locations across Zamora to supply small quantities of cocaine upon electronic requests.

The National Police were involved in the operation, marking a significant crackdown in Zamora. The suspect was detained and presented before the Civil and Investigation Court of First Instance as a guard; a decision on admission to temporary prison was made after a bail hearing.
