Penicillin artillery reconnaissance complex helps identify and destroy enemy howitzer

In the Orekhov settlement, the Penicillin artillery reconnaissance complex helped identify and neutralize an enemy howitzer. This action was confirmed by Alexander Gordeev, the head of the press center for the Vostok group, through the Russian military department’s telegraph channel.

Gordeev explained that once the howitzer was located, it was destroyed by self-propelled Msta-S artillery systems.

1B75 Penicillin is a Russian artillery reconnaissance complex. Its role is to locate firing positions of artillery and rocket troops as well as anti aircraft and tactical missiles, enabling targeted strikes.

Penicillin was developed by the Vector Research Institute, which operates within Ruselectronics. Field tests wrapped up in November 2018, and the first units were delivered to troops in December 2020.

Earlier reports noted that sailors from the Russian Pacific Fleet repelled two Ukrainian counterattacks in the South Donetsk direction. More than twenty Ukrainian defenders were reported killed while repelling these assaults.
