Orestes is returning to television, and Password, the big rival in the past, is finally stepping back onto the screen in the competition Made to Measure.

Fans remember Orestes as one of the most beloved and respected contestants on the show hosted by Roberto Leal on Antena 3. After countless episodes, the Burgos native did not clinch Rafa’s dream of winning the jackpot, a bold move that left a lasting mark. He endured and thrived in the public eye, earning admiration for his humor, knowledge, humility, and candor. His place in the history of the Spanish pageant is secure, and viewers still enjoy recalling his memorable moments.

Orestes joins TVE

After a period away from the cameras, Orestes has announced his return to the small screen on TVE, with a particular focus on the program Hunter. The Burgos native will join the hunters who challenge newcomers seeking the final prize.

“I can officially share it tomorrow at 19:20 on Televisión Española 1. As a new hunter, my next adventure on screen begins on El Cazador TVE. I am grateful for the trust shown in me and for being invited to join the team. I hope not to disappoint and to avoid chasing snacks from the contestants without a break. Will this be the moment they climb the podium for the first time tomorrow, or another day? You can watch it all from tomorrow, Monday through Friday,” he wrote on social media.

Followers have shared enthusiastic reactions. “Wow, what a joy! Congratulations, you are amazing,” one fan said. “I’m very happy for you, Orestes. It will be wonderful to see you again. Best of luck on your new—and hopefully long—cathodic journey,” another comment read. “So happy for you; I haven’t seen you since you left Pasapalabra. Good luck.”

Arrival amid controversy

Orestes is stepping in to replace David Leo. The former jackpot winner known as Password, who also appeared on La 1’s afternoon slot in 2016’s Hunter, is facing a legal case regarding an alleged gender-based violence incident. The Malaga-based figure could face up to a year in prison if prosecutors press the claim, with additional charges including insults and humiliation tied to gender violence.

The Palabra participant opens up after the incident: “The event unfolded differently”

Reports published by the Public Prosecutor’s Office indicate that the case was brought before the 12th Criminal Court of Malaga on March 6. It is alleged that at around six in the morning on February 25, David Leo hurled water-soaked towels at his partner in a Valencia hotel, with the alleged aim of harming her dignity. In addition to the request for a one-year prison sentence for the offense linked to sexist violence, the office also seeks a one-year term for insulting behavior. A restraining order for 800 meters and a three-year prohibition on contacting the victim are included, along with a four-month fine and compensation of 400 euros. The matter also encompasses minor contempt charges.
