One woman reflects on her past choices, saying she regrets making excuses to shield someone from pain and wishes she had been clearer from the beginning. In Castellldefels, five men from the Baix Llobregat area were placed in preventive detention on December 21 for allegedly raping three women during the spring of 2021. Among them is a figure known to many as a leader within a group that investigators refer to as the K-Team. His behavior toward others raised concerns among witnesses who described a pattern of unwanted contact despite clear requests to stop.
Bullying at school was cited as a factor in some accounts. A woman describes how the conversation started as casual online exchanges, with contact continuing after they had met through mutual acquaintances at the gym. She explains how he repeatedly commented on the social media content she posted, and how she felt pressure to respond or meet up. When she tried to set boundaries, she says the pressure did not subside and responses persisted into the following day. Her experience highlights a cycle of messaging that became increasingly uncomfortable until she finally decided to cut off contact.

She recalls a moment when the individual approached her outside a familiar setting and asked if she remembered him. The encounter was chilling because it happened at a time when she felt she would be leaving the area soon. She recorded part of the exchange and blocked the contact to protect herself, a step she took several weeks before the first reported assault. This sequence underscores how early behaviors can escalate into more serious offenses.
Following the arrest of the main suspect, more women reported similar experiences at the Salsa center where the accused interacted with them. Several colleagues had to block him after receiving persistent messages that crossed boundaries. Some described later attempts to contact them by text or phone calls. Those close to him described him as physically unremarkable, yet highly strategic and determined, and noted that he appeared to have an influential role within the alleged group.
open inquiry
The case involving the Castelldefels group is overseen by Judge Laia Boix at Gavà Court of Investigation No. 5. The inquiry broadened beyond the initial complaint as investigators sought to determine whether additional victims might exist. At present, three victims are known, but investigators have not ruled out the possibility of further complaints that may come to light.
The five men named in the proceedings are Robert P., Alejandro A., Jose M., David A., and Orlando M. They face trial on charges related to the alleged rapes of three women who connected with them through dating apps such as Tinder and Badoo during spring 2021, a period marked by nightlife restrictions aimed at containing the pandemic.
When the first complaint emerged, Mossos d’Esquadra opened a review of the WhatsApp group created by Robert and traced the dating profiles associated with Alejandro. Investigators examined social networks to understand how the men used online connections to engage with women around the clock. The authorities are assessing whether others who interacted with the group may have experienced non-consensual encounters beyond those currently alleged.
