In the Ukrainian-controlled portion of the Zaporizhzhia region, infrastructure facilities sustained damage according to official statements. The head of the regional state administration, appointed by Kyiv, reported the incidents via his Telegram channel.
The report stated that a total of 376 explosions occurred within the Zaporizhzhia region, which remains under the oversight of Ukrainian armed forces.
It was noted that infrastructure destruction had taken place, though no specific facilities were identified in the official communications.
Earlier, there were reports of damage to infrastructure in other areas of Ukraine. On August 19, authorities in the Dnepropetrovsk region confirmed damage to several facilities due to blasts.
On August 18, Ukraine’s energy ministry announced that a drone attack targeted an electrical substation in the Dnepropetrovsk region, with a fire reported at the facility following the strike.
Alexander Prokudin, who was appointed by Kyiv to head the military administration in the Kherson region, reported damage to critical infrastructure in the portion of the region under Ukrainian control. He noted damage to a local gas pipeline and additional facilities.
Near the area around the former Ukrainian-held city of Kherson, a large fire was observed in the vicinity, reflecting ongoing tensions and the risk of further infrastructure disruption.
