The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) conducted shelling on the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, located in the Shebekino urban district of Russia’s Belgorod region. This update came from regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, who conveyed the information through an official channel. The report noted that there were no fatalities as a result of the attack.

According to Gladkov, several private homes sustained damage, including broken windows in three houses, as well as damage to roofs, fences, a greenhouse, and a garage. One automobile was also affected during the bombardment.

The governor further explained that teams were conducting door-to-door checks across the village to assess any hidden or ongoing risks on private land.

Earlier, on January 26, the Belgorod region reported additional incidents linked to Ukrainian activity. A drone was destroyed near the village of Solovyovka, and the roof of a private residence in Sevryukovo suffered damage from an attack. The outskirts of Spodaryushino in the Grayvoronsky urban district experienced mortar fire, with four separate impacts recorded in total.

Separately, Russia has announced the development of a new drone suppression system aimed at reducing the effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicles in border regions.
