On April 1, a briefing was convened at the headquarters of the joint group overseeing Russian troop operations for ammunition provisioning. The update, reported by TASS, highlighted the ongoing oversight by Russia’s government and the defense ministry over the flow of weapons to the front lines. Officials stressed that weapon supplies are continuously monitored to ensure readiness and alignment with strategic objectives.

During the session, the defense minister underscored notable increases in the production of precision-guided munitions to sustain the operations of the Russian military grouping. The emphasis on precision technology reflects a deliberate effort to maximize effectiveness while managing the logistical footprint of extended deployments.

Also discussed at the meeting were measures to boost ammunition deliveries to troops and to improve logistical efficiency. The dialogue focused on streamlining supply chains, reducing lead times, and strengthening coordination between production facilities and the field, ensuring that battalions receive the necessary support in a timely manner.

Earlier, on March 28, Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected shell production at defense industry facilities in the Kirov and Chelyabinsk regions. The Ministry of Defense indicated it was reviewing manufacturing plants involved in supplying materials for the ongoing special military operation, with an emphasis on maintaining robust production capacity and the reliability of supply chains to support ongoing operations (TASS).
