Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region who are without work and voluntarily sign a contract to serve in the special military operation will have new employment opportunities at regional enterprises. This information comes from the regional government press office.
Contracted individuals will begin work after their enlistment period ends. They will receive a one-time payment of 100,000 rubles and a monthly stipend of 50,000 rubles from the employing enterprise for the duration of the military contract. Officials have not specified which companies are included in this program.
According to the newspaper Kommersant, businesses began discussions to provide financial support to unemployed volunteers about two weeks ago. However, there is no regional legislation yet governing this matter; the arrangements appear to be based on private agreements with individual factories.
Previously, Tatyana Moskalkova, the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, called for a review of laws regarding benefits for participants in the special operation and their families.
