Two gunmen robbed the Maccäo nightclub in San Javier, Murcia, shortly after Omar Montes completed his performance, according to police sources.
The incident occurred around eight in the morning, a busy time with the venue still crowded. Two suspects entered the interior, rifles in hand, and confronted staff. They demanded the money from the night’s takings and, after securing the loot, fled the scene.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported and there were no gunshot victims.

The robbers gained access through the rear of the nightclub, which sits near a weekend Sunday market that takes place at that location, a site that historically hosted a drive-in cinema.

The witnesses estimated the stolen sum at about 80,000 euros, money earned from selling show tickets. Omar Montes is a widely known performer, celebrated for sold-out shows, and investigators believe the thieves targeted a high-cash night.

Security forces are actively pursuing the getaway vehicle, with expectations that it will be found abandoned in a nearby empty lot, a pattern seen in similar crimes. Police sources noted that the vehicle had been stolen in the municipality of Murcia.
