Nazran Shooting Incident: 28-Year-Old Detained After Air-Pistol Fire Injures Three

In Nazran, authorities detained a 28-year-old local resident who opened fire on passers-by from the window of his apartment. The information comes from the press office of the Ingushetia Investigation Committee’s Investigation Department and is being confirmed through ongoing inquiry.

The incident unfolded on April 15 along Moskovskaya Street when the individual discharged several rounds using an air pistol. As a result, two children aged 11 and 12, along with a 42-year-old resident of Nazran, sustained injuries. The case has been classified under the penal code as hooliganism carried out with weapons or objects used as weapons, and investigators are pursuing all relevant angles to determine the motive and sequence of events.

During the investigation, officers and criminologists surveyed the scene, spoke with eyewitnesses, and seized the weapon used in the crime. Additional procedures are being conducted to fully establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure accountability for those involved.
