A national police investigation in Palma de Mallorca concerns an incident involving two middle-aged men of Spanish descent, alleged as the authors of a sexual assault. The men are said to have engaged in private touching and illegal detention, taking a young woman to a private residence without her consent.
According to a police press release issued this Tuesday, the events unfolded on August 2 around 16:00. The local police emergency number received a call from a friend of the victim, who reported that the two men might be attempting a sexual assault. The friend had relayed messages from the young woman via a messaging app, requesting help because she believed she was in danger.
In the message accompanying the call, the victim even sent a video showing one of the men engaging in sexually explicit behavior, according to the police account. Urgent patrol units moved quickly to the location where the girl had indicated she was being kept against her will.
When officers arrived at a rural farm, they observed the young woman with two shirtless men nearby. The officers exited their vehicle and checked on the woman, asking if she was safe and if she needed assistance. The officers then witnessed an attempt to guide the young woman toward leaving the premises with one of the men as a companion.
At that moment, the distressed woman began seeking help more insistently. Nervous and frightened, she rushed to the officers and explained that, earlier in the night, she had met with a friend of the young woman’s acquaintance in a bar. The group then walked toward another location, where plans had been made to go together to a different place.
Afterward, a conversation ensued among the three adults, followed by a few drinks. According to the police, tensions rose, and it was decided to move away from that spot. The young woman then got into the car of her acquaintance, taking the driver’s seat while one of the men sat in the back seat, as the other man remained in a passenger position in the front.
The victim later confirmed that the two men did not adhere to the agreed destination. In a state of fear, she chose to contact a friend and share her live location in real time to obtain assistance.
During the car ride, the man in the passenger seat allegedly touched the victim in a sexual manner multiple times. The victim tried to ignore the advances, gripped the man’s arms in an attempt to stop him, and pleaded for him to stop. The acquaintance sitting in the rear of the vehicle did not intervene, despite witnessing the inappropriate contact.
The trio eventually arrived at the rural farm, where the victim expressed her desire to leave. Nevertheless, she was escorted back to what appeared to be her home, with the patrols following the two men and the victim to ensure her safety.
Later, the victim received medical attention and was transported to a medical facility for examination and care. In response to the events, the two men were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and illegal detention, with investigators emphasizing that nothing about the situation was acceptable.
