The National Police arrested a man in the Madrid area after a disturbing case involving child exploitation. He allegedly photographed his partner’s youngest daughter while she slept and naked, then distributed the images on a widely used social network.

The suspect is also accused of possessing and distributing child sexual material, and of engaging in sexual conversations with minors. The claim was disclosed by the General Directorate of Police on Thursday.

The investigation began after a citizen sent an email warning that they had been added without consent to a messaging group where child pornography files were shared.

Agents from the Central Cyber Crime Unit tracked the activity of the channel in question and confirmed the involvement of a Spanish user who resided in a town near Guadalajara. The user reportedly sent extremely explicit material.

During a home search, authorities seized the suspect’s mobile phone. They discovered large amounts of child pornography and evidence of file distribution, along with sexual conversations with Latin American minors conducted through social networks.

Several analyzed images appeared to be taken in Spain. They depicted a girl around six years old sleeping, with underwear removed to reveal an adult’s genitals.

Some pictures carried timestamps indicating moments just before they were shared, suggesting the material was not obtained elsewhere and was produced by the suspect.

When questioned, the arrested individual led the police to the person believed to be the author of the photographs, who allegedly disguised himself as a woman and lived in the Madrid municipality of Fuenlabrada.

Given the imminent risk to the minor, investigators intensified the inquiry. A few days later, the man was identified, but his whereabouts remained unknown at several addresses and frequented locations.

Authorities conducted a thorough analysis of the suspect’s social media activity. By examining background details in his photos, they mapped his movements and confirmed residence in Alcorcón. The victim was found to be the biological child of his partner.

An urgent request was made to the local security court to halt the ongoing risk. An entry and search warrant was issued and executed in the early hours of December 1, and the victim and her mother were taken to a safe location by the Central Family and Women’s Care Unit. Cybercrime specialists continued their investigations and found evidence linking the suspect to the offenses.

Investigators traced the suspect’s phone number and calls to third parties, as well as conversations in which he posed as a woman seeking sexual contact with his own daughters, and they examined the clothing shown in the photographs.

The judicial authority decided to place the suspect under temporary arrest and issued a restraining order to protect the victim. The National Police remains vigilant and continues to pursue additional details to ensure the case proceeds through the proper legal channels.

Any member of the public who encounters information related to similar crimes is encouraged to report it through official channels and channels designated by the authorities.
