A resident of St. Petersburg reported that unidentified individuals abducted his 13‑year‑old son, compelled him to drink, and attempted to set him on fire. This account was cited by 78.ru from a law enforcement source.
The events unfolded on the evening of January 4 near the family home along the Anninsky Highway. According to the boy, a stranger attacked him, forced him into a car, and drove away from the curb.
Inside the vehicle, the assailants began to choke the teenager. After arriving at a private residence, they poured alcohol into his mouth, wetted his clothing, and tried to ignite a fire. After a period, the attackers released the boy and placed him on a city minibus.
Following the ordeal, the boy required medical attention. In the hospital, doctors found bruises on his face and head, as well as injuries to the abdomen and chest wall.
The boy’s mother said her son did not understand what had happened to him at first and described the sequence of events that followed the initial attack: they assaulted him at a bus stop, attempted to load him into a trunk, but then changed their minds and put him in the back seat. He was driven to a private house, forced to kneel, and subjected to the harmful liquid and burn attempt. The mother noted that teenagers aged about 14 or 15 years old were reportedly involved and claimed they denied any link to the incident, then released him.
Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting the investigation into the case.
Earlier reports indicated another incident in St. Petersburg involving an inebriated man who stabbed a passerby in a residential courtyard, further describing concerns about violent acts in the city.
