Vilfand explained that the pattern will feel like July on September 1, and in the days that follow, the early September period will resemble August. He noted that summer did not heed the calendar, continuing well past the expected cutoff of September 1.
The forecast from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia indicates that temperatures in Moscow will stay high at about +25 to +27 degrees on Friday, with a drop to 20 to 22 degrees over the weekend. Early next week, the outlook shows 19 to 25 degrees for Monday and Tuesday, reflecting a gradual cooling but sustained warmth overall.
The Yandex.Weather service, ahead of Knowledge Day, highlighted cities where conditions have been most favorable for outdoor activities on September 1. Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don top the list with the most clear and cloudless days in the past decade, each recording nine such days. Voronezh ranks second with eight, Volgograd third with seven, and the pattern shows less sunny spells in many Siberian, Ural, and Volga-region locales.
