The Russian Hydrometeorological Center, led by scientific director Roman Vilfand, foresees Moscow’s daily temperatures slipping to the range of +16 to +18°C.
Vilfand described this temperature pattern as typical for early June and stressed that weather changes have already begun, with conditions expected to intensify starting Monday.
During the day, highs are projected to reach +18 to +20°C as air masses move from the north, placing temperatures about 1–2 degrees below seasonal norms. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the anomaly should widen to 3–4 degrees, with daytime values expected between +16 and +21°C. The cooler spell matches what is usually seen in early June.
He urged residents to anticipate a return of warmer conditions in the Russian capital before the work week ends.
Looking ahead, next weekend could bring temperatures of +20 to +25°C, bringing Moscow closer to climate norms.
