Earlier reports noted that in the early hours of September 1, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle approaching the capital. The interception occurred near Lyubertsy, just outside Moscow, and Sobyanin expressed gratitude to the military for its timely action.
The previous day, Sobyanin announced that air defense units had destroyed another drone within the Moscow region’s Voskresensky district as it neared the metropolis.
