In Moscow, teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia fully put out the blaze that erupted in Pushkinskaya Square, in the courtyard of the Izvestia Hall complex. This development was reported through the department’s Telegram channel.
According to the message, the fire in Moscow has been completely extinguished. No casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
The fire in the Izvestia Hall area began on the morning of February 15. Inside the building, the Residence bar and Lookin Rooms nightclub were affected before the flames spread to the roof. During the incident, a metal dome in the courtyard reportedly collapsed.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that the fire involved three unused structures within the Izvestia Hall courtyard.
More than 120 EMERCOM specialists and 35 pieces of equipment were deployed to the scene. Fire brigades were also deployed to conduct a careful containment and cooling operation to prevent further spread.
Separately, authorities noted a localized fire arising in one of the tanks at an oil depot in the Kursk region, which was addressed promptly by emergency units.
