Moscow law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal case alleging the provision of services that failed to meet established safety standards after a visit by collectors. This development was reported by DEA News with a source link.
If guilt is proven, those defendants could face up to ten years in prison.
Previously, in Moscow, collectors organized a digger excursion aimed at visitors eager to explore underground sites. Despite heavy rainfall, the event proceeded. As a result, several participants became stranded underground. Rapidly rising water due to the weather left them with limited options to retreat to safety.
Current information indicates that at least five people attended the event, including three minors.
After the incident, the aggregator site suspended future trip bookings. All participants who had paid for the tour were refunded.
Earlier on a school trip, a girl gave birth and disposed of the newborn in a toilet and trash, an incident that added to the broader concerns surrounding the safety and oversight of regulated excursions.
