A youth who had gone missing in Kuzbass was found dead five days after his disappearance. According to the press office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo region, the case has been marked as a homicide investigation.

On March 14, the grandmother of the missing 15-year-old Maksim Kilteev gave a statement to Belovo police. She explained that her grandson left home on March 10, after which there was no contact. The grandmother is registered as the child’s guardian.

Investigators promptly opened a murder case because the teenager had been missing for more than four days. Following a day of search efforts, Maksim’s body was located in the industrial area of the city, among abandoned structures. No visible wounds were found on the body during the initial examination.

Authorities say they are continuing a comprehensive investigation to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident. Forensic experts are conducting autopsy procedures to determine the exact cause of death.

Earlier, another report noted that an 11-year-old boy disappeared from a school in Novovoronezh while on his way home, which is being pursued as a separate case by local authorities.
