Ministry Releases Drone Footage of Ukrainian Air Defense System Destruction

The Ministry of Defense released footage showing the destruction of a Ukrainian air defense system by a Russian unmanned aircraft. The video was presented to journalists and is available to readers through Lenta.ru, illustrating what the ministry described as a precise strike on the launch site of Ukraine’s air defense assets using a drone equipped with laser guidance. According to the ministry, the drone located and targeted the air defense launch area after it had been hit by Krasnopol guided artillery rounds. The claim emphasizes that the drone itself delivered an accurate hit by guiding the laser to the intended point of impact. This sequence of events is cited as evidence of a successful operation against a key component of Ukraine’s defense network. Earlier, the ministry released images and information about the destruction of Ukrainian warehouses and equipment following air strikes carried out by a Su-34 bomber. The agency described the bombardments as conducted from medium altitude and noted that separate strikes targeted additional facilities. Additionally, the ministry shared footage showing Russian engineers clearing land near Kherson, including efforts in areas that had been compromised by scattered mines. Russia began its special operation described as a mission to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24.
