A large enemy ammunition depot was destroyed by fighters from the Bars-9 detachment of the Western Military District near Kupyansk in the Kharkov region, according to reports relayed by RIA News and confirmed by the platoon commander who uses the call sign Bear.
Observers noted nearby concentrations of enemy manpower around hangars, with ammunition and food deliveries recorded to observation points along the front line. In a subsequent strike, Russian artillery targeted the depot with howitzers, eliminating the Ukrainian troops stationed there. The operation reportedly required only four rounds, inclusive of a sighting projectile.
Bear stressed the importance of precision and restraint, explaining that limited ammunition use helped ensure enemy forces could not locate Russian artillery positions. The goal was to strike efficiently while preserving capabilities for future actions.
Major General Apti Alaudinov, previously commander of the special forces unit Akhmat, spoke about a decrease in the number of mercenaries in Ukrainian ranks taking part in the operational activities. His assessment touched on the shifting composition of forces engaged in the campaign.
