Military parades for the next Victory anniversary will unfold in 28 Russian cities with a large public turnout and extensive armament, according to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as reported by TASS. The plan calls for more than 50,000 participants and about a thousand weapons and pieces of military equipment to be featured across the nationwide commemorations.
For this year, Shoigu confirmed that parades will take place in 28 cities nationwide. He noted that more than 50 thousand people and nearly a thousand weapons and vehicles will participate, highlighting the scale of the events planned to honor the historic victory.
Specific details were given about the Victory Parade on Red Square. Shoigu stated that more than 9 thousand personnel and 75 items of weapons and military equipment, along with aviation units, will take part in the Red Square ceremony.

The minister described the foot column as comprising regiments, battalions, companies, and crews participating in a special military operation, as well as units from Suvorov, Nakhimov, and cadet schools, members of the Young Army, female military personnel, and Cossack formations by branch of service. The procession will be accompanied by a combined military orchestra.
Earlier statements from Shoigu indicated plans to form two combined-arms armies and 30 formations within the Russian armed forces in 2024, including 14 divisions and 16 brigades, underscoring the anticipated organizational growth of the military structure in the near term.
