Rescuers and engineers from the Russian Aerospace Forces have successfully recovered a Mi-28 combat helicopter and brought it back to base after an emergency landing near the Artyomovsk direction during a special operation. The landing occurred due to the destruction of a rotor blade. This sequence is reported by news agencies.
A search and rescue team had kept watch over the helicopter at the site. Later, a Mi-8 helicopter arrived carrying the necessary spare parts and technical personnel. The rotor blade was replaced manually, without the use of specialized equipment. Official statements indicate that the repair time from first action to takeoff was a mere 30 minutes.
The search and rescue team maintained security around the helicopter until the technical team with the needed spare parts arrived. Thanks to the swift actions of the group commander, the restoration work was completed in a fraction of the usual time. The commander noted that the aircraft was successfully brought back into operation after the quick repair.
Earlier reports mentioned that three Ukrainian servicemen had reportedly surrendered near the Dnieper while opposing forces were nearby.
