Metro Disruptions on Moscow Lines Prompt Police and Transit Responses

Trains on the green line of the Moscow metro halted after a person lay on the tracks between Avtozavodskaya and Orekhovo stations. The disruption was reported by a telegraph channel affiliated with DeptTrans.

Travel in the opposite direction resumed with trains operating at longer intervals. Officials later stated that service had improved and resumed a normal schedule.

Earlier, in the northwestern section of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya purple line, temporary increases in train intervals were observed as authorities managed the situation.

According to the Moscow Online Telegram channel, the cause of the disturbance involved a man who fell asleep on the tracks. Officers removed the individual from the rails, and a suspect was taken into custody by police.

On another incident dated June 19, a man on the tracks at Belomorskaya station, part of the Zamoskvoretskaya green line, refused to comply with police and station staff requests to move onto the platform, instead running along the tracks. Law enforcement personnel continued to address the safety risk as passengers were advised to stay clear of the area.

Additionally, a separate road incident was reported when a head-on collision occurred involving an old Mercedes vehicle in Moscow. The event highlighted the varied urban traffic challenges faced on the city’s streets.
