A police operation dismantled a gang accused of running two drug trafficking networks and distributing cocaine and other substances from multiple locations in Madrid to various parts of Spain. Eleven suspects—ten men and one woman—were arrested, according to the General Directorate of Security. The group is believed to have operated a laboratory where pink cocaine, also known as tusi, was produced, while investigators pursued links to the smuggling and manufacture of these synthetic drugs.

The investigation began in early 2023 after officers learned of a drug distribution point in the Vallecas district of Madrid. Beyond serving as a local medicine outlet for residents, the site functioned as a hub where the gang organized tusi production and managed a workforce capable of producing substantial quantities of the drug.

Separately, authorities identified a key supplier who operated from a garage in the San Blas area. This individual allegedly loaded and stored cocaine that later reached different regions of Spain. The organization relied on various vehicles adapted for drug transport, with some cars modified to conceal hidden compartments for hiding the drugs.

On December 5, as investigators continued tracing the two distribution networks, their members were observed preparing shipments intended for Barcelona, León, and Cuenca. Police intercepted the convoy routes and seized a total of 12 kilograms of cocaine, leading to multiple arrests.

The operation included eight searches across six residences and two warehouses where the group stored narcotics. Authorities seized three kilograms of cocaine, 12 kilograms of ketamine, six ecstasy tablets, and 19,500 doses of LSD and other synthetic medicines. They also recovered 72,000 euros in cash, as well as equipment used for drug preparation and distribution, including devices related to firearms.

Eleven suspects were taken into custody and were handed over to judicial authorities for alleged offenses against public health. This operation reflects ongoing efforts to dismantle drug networks that operate across Madrid and extend their reach to other cities, underscoring the coordination among local and national law enforcement to disrupt the supply chains of synthetic and traditional narcotics.
