Five restaurants from the Marina Baixa and Marina Alta areas will represent their regions in the event known as Menjars de la Terra, scheduled from the 24th to the 28th of April. This will mark the final gastronomy week of the season when Alicante’s culinary landscape is showcased in all its variety and the quality of local products is celebrated by visitors and locals alike.

The initiative is coordinated by a newspaper agency that supports the effort of the Provincial Assembly, and the lineups include L’Olleta de Altea, Fisherman’s House, Sheep, Belvedere, and the Hotel Madeira in Benidorm, along with Federico House in Denia and Baydal in Calp. The selection presents a broad, yet representative sample of contemporary Alicante cuisine as it is practiced on the region’s hills and coasts.

The INFORMACIÓN newspaper has organized Menjars de la Terra into a refreshed format this year. Back with the Provincial General Assembly’s backing, the conference tour visits different regions of the province during distinct gastronomy weeks. Each day runs from Monday to Friday, with a new restaurant hosting the event. The initiative also involves collaboration with Denominations of Origin Regulatory Councils, who pledged to promote Alicante’s local products across the province.
