Tomorrow will bring the opening day, Monday, at the Alfonso Mira restaurant in Aspe. The brothers Alfonso and Teo Mira have crafted an impressive special menu to inaugurate these gastronomic days, a celebration that enriches the province of Alicante’s growing culinary reputation.

Carlos Mazón, president of the Provincial Council, who backs the initiative, has noted the importance of reviving Menjars de la Terra and uncovering Alicante’s culinary riches during the gastronomic days. His attendance at the opening ceremony is anticipated. On Tuesday, Menjars de la Terra moves to Petrer for a new feature, this time at La Sirena restaurant. Wednesday brings Xiri de Monóvar into the spotlight, showcasing the current high level of offerings under the guidance of the new generation of family chefs. Thursday sees Alfonso restaurant take the stage in Pinoso, where chef Javier Alfonso aims to appeal to diverse tastes with a menu offering a wide array of choices. Friday caps the week with La Despensa in Villena presenting a menu where the main course, a hearty traditional regional dish, remains a centerpiece alongside the tempting Escalda Barbas Villenero.
