Martin Urrutia has a fresh professional project after his appearance on the latest edition of Opération Triunfo. As the editor prepared to head out on tour with his peers, he would join the troupe as a member of Mariliendre, a role highlighted by 20 Minutos as part of Atresplayer’s new Javis series.
At this stage, the specifics of his character and the weight of his involvement within the plot of this musical comedy, created by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo for the Atresmedia platform, remain under wraps. The same secrecy surrounds which fellow singer and actor friends will join the cast in this forthcoming fiction.
Martin’s participation clearly signals a strong rapport with Los Javis. During a visit to the academy behind a Prime Video format, several audiovisual creators indicated interest in collaborating with him: “Do you want to be an actor? Well, here we are. Call us when you get out of here.”
Mariliendre is among the new series slated for Atresplayer in the near future. Its premiere date has not been announced, but the story follows Meri Román, the queen of Madrid’s gay nightlife, a figure who has aged beyond her peak. Now 35, she remains a dethroned diva, carrying the pain of her past and feeling stuck in a compromised present. After her father’s passing, Meri reconnects with her circle of gay friends and attempts to redefine her life and identity by revisiting memories and the chart-topping hits that once defined that era.
