Marina d’Or, a dynamic resort destination led by the Strong Group and based on the Costa Blanca, continues to ignite expectations as it expands its footprint. After surpassing 5,000 pre-launch reservations in the lead-up to its unveiling at Fitur, the new Marina d’Or project has secured almost two million euros in contracts within a single week. This momentum translates into more than 7,300 hotel nights spread across five properties within the Orpesa complex in Castellón.

Initial travelers have come mainly from within the country, yet the confirmation of international reservations from the United States, France, Germany, Portugal, and the United Kingdom marks Marina d’Or’s first strategic steps toward broader European reach. This early traction signals a clear push into the international market, as stated by the project leaders.

Marina d’Or will transform into Magic World with three family-focused themed hotels

Among the hotels drawing the most attention from first-time visitors is Magic Sports, the first sports-themed hotel in Spain, which accounts for a majority of the bookings. Beyond reservation volume, user interest is evident in the rapid growth of the official Magic World online presence during the opening week, with two hundred thousand visits registered. The chain’s website saw visits rise by more than 63 percent compared with the week before the new facility opened. These growth figures come from organic traffic, not paid advertising, underscoring genuine interest from travelers.

Following the opening sales, the Magic Costa Blanca communications team highlighted strong interest and rallied support from its close network, logging four thousand calls in a single week.

Listen to visitors

Javier Garcia, vice president of Magic Costa Blanca, underscored that the project was well received in its first week. He noted that the momentum acts as motivation to keep innovating and enhancing the resort experience. After generating high expectations and very positive results in just seven days, Garcia emphasized that Magic World should continue to grow while staying attentive to visitors’ feedback.

Marina d’Or plans a June reopening

“Gathering diverse ideas is essential to delivering an experience that lives up to the expectations created”, explained the Benidorm-based manager who owns half of Marina d’Or and oversees its operations. He stressed that there is room for improvement and highlighted the importance of understanding customer preferences and suggestions to ensure the accommodations offer the right elements and services to satisfy a broad range of guests.
