Medical assessments conducted at a hospital confirmed that the victims had suffered benzodiazepine poisoning, consistent with their account of being drugged. This medical evidence supported the claim of a planned theft carried out under the influence of sedative drugs.
According to initial statements, the victims met two women at a local party near Puerto Banús. After continuing their night together, the two women invited the visitors to their apartment, where the travelers stayed for several days during their vacation.
