Mam ut Useinov and Others Face Medical Checks and Draft Offers Across Several Russian Localities
A finalist of the Sing a Star program aired on Channel 1, Mamut Useinov, was reportedly drawn into military service proceedings beginning with routine Friday prayers. The box of events was described by a local informant source known as plinth.
Witnesses say police arrived at a mosque in Kotelniki, removing worshippers one by one for passport checks. Those identified as eligible were escorted to the Lyubertsy military registration and enlistment office, where a medical screening was conducted. According to Useinov, nearly all of the men were deemed fit for service after the emergency medical commission evaluated their health status.
Following this medical review, the group was moved to Balashikha. There, some individuals were reportedly asked to proceed directly to military service, while others were offered contracts with the Ministry of Defense. The accounts emphasize a push toward enlistment through both conscription and contract-based service options.
Useinov, now 26 years old, had received Russian citizenship in Crimea in 2014. He has previously cited health reasons for not serving in the armed forces. He says that he and several others refused travel and were subsequently barred from leaving the area. Military registration officers allegedly instructed them to await investigators from the Investigative Committee.
In a related political note, former Roscosmos chief and Zaporozhye regional senator Dmitry Rogozin urged the introduction of six-month service contracts, arguing this model would find traction among volunteers aged roughly 40 to 50. The proposal was floated amid ongoing discussions about mobilization and recruitment practices.
Separately, Sergei Shoigu, who previously led the Defense Ministry, stated that the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces had no additional mobilization plan in place at that time.
