VTB Real Estate and the Samolet group have announced plans to develop a large-scale residential and social infrastructure project near the Maksimikha special economic zone. The initiative envisions housing for about 18,000 residents along with a network of supporting facilities designed to create a complete living environment.

The development spans 668 hectares and is planned to include not only housing but also essential infrastructure. In addition to homes, the project will feature a kindergarten, a school, a clinic, a recreation center, and other community amenities to meet the needs of future residents and support a vibrant local economy.

Yulia Batarova, General Director of VTB Real Estate, emphasized that the modern residential cluster represents a key step in expanding infrastructure in the Maksimikha area. She highlighted that the special economic zone attracts professionals from diverse sectors, a factor expected to drive job creation for people who choose to live nearby.

Ivan Vinogradov, General Manager of the Samolet Group, described the Maksimikha project as a strong example of VTB Bank’s zone development concept. He stressed that the plan combines a high-quality living environment with opportunities for advanced, technology-focused employment, all integrated within a single, forward-looking development.

Vinogradov noted that the concept of a “horizontal city” is gaining traction among professionals who can work remotely. The project aligns with this trend by providing flexible, well-connected living spaces that support modern work styles while preserving community vitality and accessibility to urban centers.

For context, Maksimikha is a designated special economic zone under the supervision of VTB Real Estate. The development is situated in the Domodedovo urban district within the Moscow region. The zone sits at a strategic crossroads near the intersection of the Big Ring of the Moscow Railway and the M-4 Don federal highway, positioning it for convenient access and strong regional connectivity [citation].
