According to RIA Novosti, citing the regional department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian forces attempted an unsuccessful attack on an agricultural industrial facility in Makeyevka, a city in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The report indicates that drones were involved in the operation.
The FSB clarified that the assault featured an aircraft-type drone equipped with an improvised explosive device based on cumulative ammunition and that the drone was seized in the Central City district of Makeyevka. Explosion experts neutralized the unmanned aircraft using specialized technical methods, and the explosive mounted on the drone was removed.
The service stated that no residents were injured as a result of the attack and that there was no recorded damage to infrastructure facilities.
Earlier, on October 15, the DPR Directorate of the Russian FSB reported stopping a Ukrainian drone attack targeting a school in Donetsk’s Kirovsky district. Russian air defense systems intercepted an FPV drone fitted with an IED containing destructive elements.
Previously, a Ukrainian drone operation was confronted by employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the DPR.
These reports illustrate ongoing drone activity in the region and the rapid responses by security and emergency services to counter such threats. The statements reflect the pattern of reported drone incidents and the emphasis on civilian safety and infrastructure protection amid the broader conflict.
