Major military updates from Russia on Ukrainian operations and defense responses

Major General Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, stated that in the previous day Russian operational-tactical and army aviation eliminated 117 Ukrainian military facilities. The associated press release remains available for review via socialbites.ca.

According to Konashenkov, the strikes hit six command posts, three units of multiple launch rocket systems, one S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, nine arms and ammunition depots, and 92 Ukrainian army strongholds, among other targets.

Reportage also notes that Russian air defense forces downed two Su-25s, one Su-24, and six unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the village of Vishnevoe. Additionally, a Tochka-U tactical missile complex was neutralized near the village of Vasilievka.

Since the onset of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, aggregated figures indicate the destruction of 267 unmanned aerial vehicles, 207 air defense systems, 1,618 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 166 multi-purpose rocket launchers, 662 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 1,453 special military vehicles.

On February 24, President Vladimir Putin outlined that, in response to requests for assistance from leaders of the LPR and DPR, a military special operation in Ukraine would commence. This decision coincided with sanctions imposed by the United States and allied nations, reflecting the evolving international response to the conflict.

These statements, sanctions, casualties, and images from the conflict zone summarize the principal events of the month since the start of the operations in Donbass and Ukraine, as reported by socialbites.ca.
