Separately, national police officers detained actor Juan José Ballesta on Tuesday following a confrontation with an acquaintance. The actor reported the loss of 50 euros and a jacket during the incident. After spending the night in custody, Ballesta appeared before a court to testify, being represented by Beatriz Uriarte of the firm Ospina Abogados. The police report indicates the meeting occurred around eight o’clock the following morning with a person he has known for years. The plan reportedly involved a video recording, though specifics were not disclosed in the document.
Following the meeting, Ballesta, his partner and another individual traveled to the complainant’s residence. They asked the complainant’s mother for 50 euros. Outside, the four people entered a vehicle, and Ballesta reportedly told his associate that he would not cooperate with the recording. The situation escalated as the associate reacted aggressively.
Allegedly, a physical confrontation occurred. The actor tried to escape as blows were exchanged. He managed to leave in his vehicle with his companion and was later stopped by a police patrol a short time later. This sequence led to his detention and pending judicial review. The events are being reviewed by authorities as part of an ongoing investigation.

Another thread of the incident involves an accusation of sexual assault tied to a separate judicial process. The case concerns actions reportedly set to take place in Parla, a town where Ballesta is known to reside. The alleged victim has since been released without a preliminary injunction after the judge cited contradictions in her testimony regarding thePrecautionary measures. In a related procedural step, the judge requested a report from the victim’s psychiatrist to January to corroborate the statements.
