Levantina, the natural stone powerhouse from the Noveldense group Levantine, announced a factory-wide evolution. The company is transforming the Kerosis facility in Nules, Castellón into Techlam’s second production center for large-format porcelain. This strategic move diversifies operations and reflects the group’s focus on expanding Techlam’s footprint, which last year accounted for roughly one-fifth of Levantina’s total output.

The project, backed by the Bybrook fund, involves a 50 million investment. The funding covers the purchase and extensive transformation of the Kerosis facility, with the explicit aim of creating one of the most modern and technologically advanced sintered stone production sites in the world. The firm notes that the upgrade will significantly raise production capacity and elevate efficiency across the board. (Source: Levantina communications, internal strategy briefing)

Levantina describes the opening of a second Techlam plant as a response to a sustained surge in demand and a robust track record for the Techlam brand in recent years. The expansion reinforces the group’s long-standing commitment to Techlam, a product line introduced in 2007, and positions the company to scale output to meet ongoing market needs. Last year, the Levantina group posted a turnover of 135.7 million euros, an 11.4% rise from the previous year, according to consolidated balance sheets filed with the Trade Registry. This revenue growth reflects the company’s strategy to strengthen both production and commercial reach, while aiming to reduce losses. Recent organizational shifts have separated granite, marble, and Techlam production and sales into three distinct entities, a move designed to improve focus and performance. (Source: annual report)
