Leo Run Comes Back This Summer in Land of the Leopard National Park

National Park Leo Run: comeback race lights up the summer calendar

The National Park Land of the Leopard is staging a bold return this summer with the Leo.Run telegraph channel relaunch. The event promises a fresh thrill for sport lovers and a chance to celebrate the athletic spirit in the region, with a half marathon distance previously held and now reintroduced this June 10.

The race route in Primorye will wind near the village of Barabash, a locale renowned for the scenic Semiverstka area. The course carefully navigates an existing mineralized strip within the economic zone, ensuring that the interests of Far Eastern leopards and their habitat remain undisturbed while athletes push themselves along a demanding but picturesque path.

Participants can choose from four distances: 3, 5, 10 and 21 kilometers. The event offers a substantial prize pool, with the top prize set at 300,000 rubles and additional gifts provided by partners lined up to support the runners. The prize structure aims to attract competitive athletes while also welcoming hobby runners who want to test their performance against a challenging course in a protected natural setting.

The Leo.Run organizers are the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation together with RunDnsRun, a dedicated running club, and the Leopard Federal State Budgetary Institution. They receive sponsorship backing to ensure smooth operations, robust safety measures, and sustainable event practices within the protected landscape.

Registration for the Leo.Run race is open to participants and is managed through the official program. A limited number of slots is available, so prospective runners are encouraged to secure a place early to guarantee participation in this summer’s athletic showcase in the Far East.

In related regional news, the Primorye territory within the Land of Leopards National Park recently highlighted the blooming Adonis, a herald of spring that adds to the seasonal charm of the area and underscores the blend of nature and sport that defines the Leo.Run event. This natural display complements the athletic program and offers visitors an engaging experience beyond the race itself with opportunities to observe local flora and wildlife in a carefully protected environment.
