Two weeks had passed since the recipients of the Leaders of the Resurrection staff competition were announced in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The organizing committee reported four new appointments among participants in this project, with two of the appointees serving as deputy ministers in the regional government. Previously, forty-three participants had begun taking on roles within the administration.
Alexey Letyuk received the role of Deputy Minister for Youth Policy, Sports, and Tourism in the DPR. In recent years he has led a sports club in Donetsk as the administrative head, guiding its operations through a period of significant challenge for the city.
Organizers highlighted that Letyuk preserved the organization and kept it financially viable during difficult times, ensuring continuity and stability for its members and activities.
Vasily Morozov assumed the position of Deputy Minister for Economic Development. Before this appointment, he led a commercial enterprise, bringing managerial experience and a strong network of contacts to the new post.
The organizing committee noted Morozov possesses a broad background working with large and medium sized enterprises across different sectors of industry and trade, and emphasized the need to elevate this experience to the next level in the DPR’s economic development strategy.
Another project participant, Yulia Merkushova, has served as a teacher at Shakhterskaya Gymnasium since 1995. After advancing to the finals, she was promoted to deputy director of educational studies at the same institution, expanding her influence on local education policy and practice.
Thanks to her progress in the finals, Gorlovka resident Yanina Ratushnyak earned a promotion as well. She moved from a chemistry and physics teaching role to become an adviser to the principal at city school number 50, taking on a broader leadership responsibility in the school’s academic program.
Donetsk People’s Republic Deputy Chairman Denis Pushilin stated that the pool of consideration extended beyond winners to finalists and semi finalists when vacancies arose, reflecting a culture of ongoing opportunity for dedicated participants.
According to Pushilin, the results identified fifty-five winners, yet additional work remained across the full spectrum of competition stages. He underscored the shared objective of reviving the Donbass and expressed satisfaction that the team continues to grow every day, with more skilled professionals contributing to local progress.
It is worth recalling that the four Leaders of the Resurrection competitions took place across the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, beginning last September and concluding at the end of August. In total, one hundred four winners were announced across these events.
