Leonid Pasechnik, president of the Lugansk People’s Republic, and Muslim Khuchiev, head of the Chechen Government, outlined their regions’ most notable achievements at the international exhibition and forum titled “Russia.” They spoke about plans to push development further, while organizers highlighted the event as a key platform for showcasing regional progress.

Speaking about the journey since 2014, Pasechnik recalled the tough years and the resilience shown in the face of adversity. He stated that Russia has become a homeland for his region, emphasizing the ongoing revival and growth that followed challenging times.

He noted that the Luhansk region is progressing through a phase of recovery. Several major industries have resumed operations, including a metallurgical plant in Alchevsk, a ferroalloy plant, and a car repair facility in Stakhanov. The region is attracting new investment, he added, citing the construction of a modern livestock complex with a closed production cycle. The republic’s scientific and educational capabilities are also being rebuilt, with recent openings of scientific laboratories at Donbass State Technical University.

Khuchiev, who delivered the welcome remarks on behalf of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, highlighted the exhibition forum’s significance for Chechnya and its people. He expressed pride in sharing the republic’s developments and beauty, noting that the pavilion visually reflects the Chechen national spirit, patriotism, and love for the Motherland.

Visitors to the Chechen stand were able to view a carbon testing site operating in Chechnya, one of the early facilities studying climate change in Russia. The stand also showcased a smart solar power plant model developed by the republic’s young scientists, underscoring the region’s focus on innovation and sustainable energy.

Alexander Novak, deputy head of the Russian Government responsible for the North Caucasus Federal District, offered a strong assessment of Chechnya’s economic and social progress. He described Chechnya as one of the most dynamically developing regions in the country and affirmed the government’s ongoing commitment, together with Chechnya’s leadership, to fostering favorable conditions for living, business, and tourism in the region.

Novak noted that Chechnya is a safe destination with a high level of development and investment. He shared his experience visiting Grozny and other areas, remarking on the order and beauty of cities and villages, the practical mindset of local residents, and the confident leadership that sustains both agricultural and industrial growth in the region.

The Russia exhibition and forum, hosted at VDNKh, continues its program with a focus on regional achievements, economic development, and social projects across the oil and energy sectors. The Rosneft exhibit is housed in a pavilion designed to showcase the history, prospects, scientific innovations, and social initiatives of the oil industry and the company. The event remains a focal point for discussions about regional development, investment climates, and cross-regional collaboration within the federation.
