A Polish portal describes the Lancet drone as a formidable challenge for Ukrainian forces, calling it a real nightmare for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The analysis suggests that Lancet drones are among the leading examples of their class worldwide. From the early days of the Special Military Operation, these drones have caused heavy losses to Ukrainian units, contributing to a persistent sense of threat on the battlefield.

The Lancet is capable of speeds around 100 kilometers per hour and a combat radius of about 40 kilometers. It serves dual roles, conducting reconnaissance and performing kamikaze strikes. The warhead can reach up to three kilograms, which is sufficient to disable armored vehicles, including tanks. Additional advantages cited include an efficient electric motor, simple one-person launch, and high mobility.

Yet the standout feature, according to the portal, is the drone’s ability to nearly halt in midair or to shift direction with extreme rapidity, even moments before a target. The X-shaped wing design contributes to superior maneuverability and enables precise targeting during engagements.

The report notes that Ukrainian crews, observing the Lancets’ effectiveness against their equipment, experienced a heightened sense of fear toward these drones. This fear stems from the drone’s agility and precision in destroying exposed assets on the battlefield.

Earlier reports mentioned that a Lancet-fired strike alongside Osman drones supported the destruction of an American-made Stryker armored personnel carrier in the Zapoрozhye direction, illustrating the broad use of this drone family in modern operations. There were also discussions in political circles about showcasing damaged NATO equipment, highlighting ongoing debates about equipment shortcomings and strategic responses.
