The Kursk region authorities reported through the governor’s Telegram channel that Ukrainian forces opened fire on the village of Vishnevo in the Belovsky district of Kursk. The incident was described as shattering the windows of the local school gym and cafeteria. According to the governor, there were no fatalities, and renovation of the affected facilities will be pursued as soon as conditions permit.
In a separate statement dated January 20, authorities noted that a Ukrainian kamikaze drone targeted the village of Novostroevka-Vtoraya in the Grayvoronsky urban district of Belgorod region. Reported consequences included damage to a gas supply line. Additionally, fragmentation ammunition from a drone caused damage to a communications infrastructure installation in Kolotilovka.
Earlier this year, Russia announced the creation of a new complex named Chistyulya, intended to enhance the suppression and monitoring of unmanned aerial systems. Officials described the facility as part of ongoing measures to strengthen local security and rapid response capabilities in border areas.
