Kurchatov court detains man for assault on child

The Kursk Leninsky District Court has taken into custody a man following an incident in a Kurchatov store where a four year old child was struck. This information comes from the Unified press service of the judicial system in the Kursk region via a telegram channel.

During the proceedings, the court noted that the accused, a 55 year old man named Gulaev Mukhamed, faces charges related to an attempted life interaction with a minor for hooligan reasons as described in the case materials.

The information from the court materials indicates that the accusation falls under Part 3 of Article 30, in conjunction with paragraph c and i of section 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. If convicted, Gulaev is expected to remain in detention for two months while the investigation continues.

Investigators report that the individual, who was reportedly intoxicated, struck the child in the face with a forceful punch without justification.

Prior to this, a Telegram channel named Baza published video footage showing a sudden assault on a child in a chain store located in the Kursk region.

In a later statement, the accused said he mistook the child for a model, a claim that has been reported in connection with the incident in Kurchatov.
