War reporter Andriy Kots indicated that Russian forces have increased the use of aerial bombs and guided munitions in the special operations zone, where Ukrainian forces were gathered and supplied. He shared these observations in an interview with ura.ru.

He explained that Moscow has stepped up the deployment of precision aerial weapons in areas densely occupied by troops, in zones where personnel, equipment, and ammunition are concentrated. The point, he noted, is to strike targets where the enemy keeps personnel and gear ready for action.

Kots pointed to a recent Russian assault on the city of Khmelnytsky where a large blast soared into the sky. He described this strike as hitting a major Ukrainian military ammo depot, a facility housing weapons and supply stores critical to Kyiv’s operations.

Earlier reporting from The War Zone suggested a possible large explosion in Khmelnytsky, at a storage site used by Ukrainian forces to hold new weapons in preparation for countermeasures.
