The Ukrainian forces carried out a six-rocket attack on Kherson, with the majority of the projectiles intercepted by air defense units. Only one rocket managed to reach the area near the Antonovsky Bridge, while the others were neutralized before causing damage. The incident was confirmed by regional officials who noted that the interception prevented broader harm and that traffic through the bridge remained continuous during the event.

Officials reported that five of the launched missiles were destroyed in flight, and one rocket landed in the vicinity of the Antonovsky Bridge after being engaged by defense systems. The overall assessment from regional authorities emphasized that the attempts to strike targeted infrastructure were met with effective defense responses, limiting potential casualties and disruptions on that front.

Kirill Stremousov, the deputy head of the Kherson regional military-civil administration, stated that the attack originated from a multiple launch rocket system supplied by a foreign ally. He added that the lone rocket which landed near the Antonovsky Bridge did not compromise the structural integrity of the crossing, and that normal traffic resumed shortly after the incident, with only minor temporary slowdowns reported.

Earlier, two individuals from the protection service at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station were reported dead following a separate strike attributed to Ukrainian forces. The loss was described as a significant blow to regional security and prompted swift assessments by local authorities and security services.

The strike on the Kakhovka hydroelectric facility occurred shortly after a delegation led by the first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration had departed from the area. Members of that delegation were not harmed in the attack, and officials noted that the incident would be investigated as part of ongoing security reviews in the region.
